[vc_row][vc_column][vc_wp_text title=”Summary”]If you’ve downloaded the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Virtual Machine from the LCS portal, you’ll notice that by default VM is provisioned with one user account. This is the Administrator account. If you’d like to provision other user accounts to test D365 Finance & Operations you need to follow these steps:

  1. Create an Azure Active Directory User, this can be an Office 365 Portal User.
  2. Create a Worker in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  3. Create the User in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

Logically speaking, A Worker is an employee working for a company. This Worker, may or may not need to have access to Dynamics 365 instance. If they do – then this Worker requires a User account created.

Go to:

Dynamics 365 > Finance and Operations > Human Resources > Workers

Create a new Worker

[/vc_wp_text][vc_wp_text]Once the Worker has been created, update any other associated details.

[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_wp_text title=”STEP 3: Create the User”]Final step, create the new User.

Go to:

Dynamics 365 > Finance and Operations > Systems Administration > Users

Create a new User

[/vc_wp_text][vc_wp_text]Under Person, assign the Worker you created in STEP 2.

[/vc_wp_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_wp_text]That’s it. You can now sign-out and sign back in with the newly created User.
